Payment vouchers.
Payee, amount, invoice references. A clean record of what was paid, marked not a check.
What we will not claim
Not "works with every bank", not "any printer", not "guaranteed to cash". Check filling onto preprinted stock opens one stock layout at a time, after a physical print test. Blank-stock negotiable checks with MICR are not offered.
Remittance voucher builder
Record that it was paid
Marks the voucher payment recorded (self-reported). Printed is not paid, and recorded is not cleared.
Printer calibration sheet
Before any stock-aligned printing, print this on plain paper at 100% scale and measure. Crosshairs 4.00 in apart and a 6 x 2.75 in dashed box tell you whether your printer and browser are scaling. No bank data, no check, just shapes.
- 1. Print with "Actual size" or 100%; turn off "fit to page".
- 2. Measure the crosshair distance with a ruler.
- 3. If it is not 4.00 in, fix scaling in the print dialog, not the document.
Filling preprinted check stock
The next product: print date, payee, amount, written amount and memo onto check stock that already carries your bank's MICR line. Your stock, your account, your printer. We hold no bank data.
- A named stock layout passes a physical print test on a small printer matrix.
- The calibration sheet above confirms your printer's scaling.
- Duplicate check numbers warn; voids are recorded, never deleted.
- Printed is tracked as printed, never as cleared.
- You attest that you control the account and the instrument.
The Federal Reserve notes that an original check's MICR line generally needs magnetic ink; when the MICR line is preprinted, the rest can be printed in ordinary ink. That is the only mode we plan to support.
